Ingredients

  • Butter, 300 g flour + 1 tablespoon flour, 180 ml of warm water, Half a teaspoon of granulated sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, Half a pack of instant yeast, 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil, 200 g cheddar cheese (grated), 100 g feta cheese (grated), 2-3 Eggs, 2 tablespoons of water

First of all, we add granulated sugar and yeast to the warm water and close the mouth of the glass and wait for the yeast to activate for 15 minutes. Then we put the flour and salt in a large bowl and make a hole in the middle. We add the yeast water into the pit and start kneading. Finally, we add the oil and finish our kneading.

After kneading the dough, we cover it and leave it in a warm environment for 40 minutes. We take the dough on the floured counter and roll out our dough to be long and oval.

We take the grated cheese in a bowl and mix it by crushing 1 tablespoon of flour, 2 tablespoons of water and an egg white. As in the last image, we put cheese mortar on the edges of the dough and close it thinly. We give the shape of a pita by shrinking the corners. We put a lot of cheese mortar in the middle of the pita.

We take our khachapuris on the baking tray on which we laid oiled paper, and at the end we apply egg yolk to the edges. We bake our khachapuris for 25 minutes in a 180 degree oven. Finally, we break eggs on demand and cook for 3-4 more minutes. It wouldn't be bad if we add a little butter too 🥰
