Cherry Leaf Wrap
Ingredients
600 g of vine leaves
2/3 cup of cherries (for the stuffing)
1 teaspoon of cherries (on cooking)
2 large onions
2 cups Rice
1 pack of pine nuts
1 glass of Olive Oil (for internal mortar)
1 tea glass of Olive Oil (on cooking)
1 teaspoon each Allspice, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Red ground pepper
2 teaspoons dried mint
Salt
1 glass of hot water (for internal mortar)
3 cups of hot water (while the wrap is cooking)
Instructions
Take the olive oil in a non-stick pan. We start frying the onions that we cut into cubes.
After throwing the pine nuts and roasting for 5 more minutes, we add the rice that we wash 3-4 times and drain the starch.
After roasting for 7-8 minutes on medium heat, add the cherry, spices, salt and water. Close the lid and cook until the water is absorbed. The inner mortar is also ready.
We wrap the wraps. Drizzle olive oil on it. Add the cherries and hot water and close the lid. We cook for 30-40 minutes until the leaves and rice are soft.
The cherry leaf wrap is ready. Don't forget to pour a little olive oil on it while serving. Enjoy your meal.
